Strongly against the demolition-rebuilding policy of public housing stock implemented by the French government in 2003, architects Anne Lacaton and Jean-Philippe Vassal are committed into transformation of the existing social heritage and the way we look at the city and the architecture. 530 dwellings literally metamorphosed are the starting point of new ways of inhabiting and living in the city.


About the director
An architect by training, Karine Dana works as a freelance writer and journalist in the press sector and publishing and as filmmaker in architecture field. She has been section editor at the french magazine AMC for 12 years and defends architecture as engagement of thought.
