Living Together is about how the housing cooperative De Warren came into existence. An Amsterdam-based group of friends dreamed of living sustainably, affordably and, above all, together. De Warren is the first self-build housing cooperative realised in Amsterdam and includes 36 households. This specific way of living together requires a different role for the architect, the municipality, and the contractor. Without any prior knowledge, the collective managed to find its way in developing, designing and building a collective residential building. But at what cost?Living Together shows what it takes to realise this specific form of collective housing.
